A TRUCK has been destroyed after it was engulfed by fire on the A82.
The incident happened at 9.24pm on Sunday night as firefighters raced to a layby between Balloch and Duck Bay to find the truck ablaze.
The road was temporarily closed as firefighters sought to control the blaze. It is, however, unclear what happened to the driver of the truck.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 21.24pm on Sunday, August 13 to reports of a lorry fire on the A82.
“Two fire appliances were immediately mobilised to the scene of the incident, at a layby between Balloch and Duck Bay.
“Firefighters used a high pressure foam jet to extinguish the small fire. Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
