A BALLOCH-based family business beat off some stiff competition to be crowned ‘Best Glamping’ winners at the 2017 Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards.
Lomond Woods Holiday Park (Wood Leisure), were named the winners during the bash at the held in the Glasgow Marriott.
The strong competition included entries from some of Scotland’s best glamping establishments with Loch Tay Highland Lodges taking the runners up title.
The Wood Leisure team took to the stage to collect their prize from The X Factor’s James Hughes.
Paula Smith, park manager at Lomond Woods Holiday Park said: “We are absolutely over the moon to take home ‘Best Glamping’ at the SOLA awards, our team and the Wood Leisure family have worked extremely hard over the last year to grow our glamping offering and ensure we provide customers with a variety of glamping options to suit every style.
“Our category had some fabulous competition with an array of glamping options so we are even more thrilled to be crowned ‘Best Glamping’ winners.
“We would like to thank our loyal customers who nominated us and SOLA for an absolutely fantastic evening.”
Now in its second year, the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards were created to showcase and reward outstanding contributions to Scotland’s outdoor and leisure industry across 17 categories including Scotland’s Best Glamping.
Lomond Woods Holiday Park has been owned and managed by the Wood Family for almost 25 years.
