Councillors have agreed to plans for a taxi rank and re-locating a bus stop in Balloch.
An emergency motion, put forward by council leader Jonathan McColl at a full council meeting on February 14, which requested design changes for the Balloch Road West project, was unanimously agreed by councillors.
The motion said: “A number of genuine concerns have been raised with Ward 1 members by local residents and businesses, regarding the work being undertaken under the regeneration title of “Balloch Road West Phase 1.” "
Concerns included approximately four vehicles spaces being removed for picking up and dropping off patrons at the Lomond Park Hotel/Glenroy Bar/Raffles Lounge/The Back Room - due to the road being narrowed.

Also, plans to move a bus stop closer to the roundabout at the west end of Balloch Road, and space that’s currently used for on street parking outside residential properties being taken away to allow the road to be narrowed at the junction with Drumkinnon Gate Residential Estate.
Council officers now plan to talk to taxi operators about creating a taxi rank to allow customers to be safely picked up and dropped off at pubs and late night entertainment venues.
The location of the taxi rank is still un-decided.
They will also try to find a more appropriate location for the bus stop, further back from the roundabout.
The motion explains this will not cost any extra, it said: “Council thanks the officers involved for their positive engagement with local elected members to understand local concerns and for having a shared vision of delivering the best outcome for local residents and potential visitors to Balloch village.”
The council has also authorised a £16.5k spend from free reserves to remove the road narrowing build-outs at the junction with Drumkinnon Gate Residential Estate, and to reinstate the original road/footpath layout.
