Parents and carers from Dumbarton and the Vale who are on low incomes can apply for three new Scottish benefits.
Under the Best Start Grant, a pregnancy and baby payment of £600 is available for a first child and £300 for a second or subsequent child.
In addition, an early learning payment of £250 can help with the cost of having a pre-school child, and the school age payment, also of £250, helps with the cost of a child starting school.
Mums who are pregnant, or have a child under three, may be able to get help to buy certain foods from the Best Start Foods scheme.
In most cases, mums will need to be getting certain benefits to be eligible.
If you are under 18 and pregnant, or responsible for a child under one, you can get the benefit.
