A SPECIALIST police marine unit has been brought in to help search for woman who was last seen on CCTV at Renton train station around two weeks ago.
Karen Murphy was seen leaving Gartnavel Hospital on Great Western Road at 8pm on Monday, January 13. She was then spotted on CCTV leaving Renton train station at 9pm that night.
Officers say the 53-year-old has not been seen or in contact with anyone since this time and concern is growing for her welfare.
Karen is described as around 5ft 4inches with grey/blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a khaki parka-style jacket with a fur hood and black trousers.
She has previous connections to Dumbarton and West Dunbartonshire, as well as the Glasgow city centre area,
Sergeant Colin MacMillan, at Clydebank Police Station, said: “Officers are currently carrying out door to door enquires and using specialist units such as the Marine Unit to search for any new information that could help trace Karen.
“I would ask members of the public who were using the roads in and around Renton on Monday, January 13 to check their vehicle dashcam footage for possible sightings.”
Anyone who has seen Karen since Monday, January 13 or knows of her whereabouts are urged to contact police immediately via 101, quoting incident number 0058 of January 13.
