Dumbarton's Lidl store will open to customers at 8am next Thursday - following a ribbon cutting ceremony.
As previously detailed in the Reporter, the Castle Street supermarket will be open for business on the morning of February 20.
Customers will be able to sample some of the discount German store's award-winning products throughout the day, and there will be exclusive deals and special offers for residents of Dumbarton and the Vale during the first week.
Forty jobs for locals have also been created due to the store's opening.
It will feature an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing, customer toilets, baby changing and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
Gordon Rafferty, Lidl GB’s regional head of property, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Dumbarton.
"It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”
The store is situated on the former Allied Distillers site at Dumbarton Harbour, which is currently being regenerated with over 200 new homes.
Lidl has 790 stores across the UK, including its 100th in Scotland, at Cowdenbeath, which opened last month.
