West Dunbartonshire Council is offering a contract worth almost £1/4million - for supplying vehicle tyres.
Councillors are on the lookout for a firm to keep the local authority's fleet of cars and vans on the roads, and are inviting offers.
The contract is worth around £112,000 per annum, and whoever wins will have to offer their services 24/7, 365 days a year.
Papers for the next infrastructure, regeneration, and economic development committee, to be held tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, revealed the contract is for two years.
They state: "Within the West Dunbartonshire Council’s asset management plan, the council has an ongoing requirement for servicing the vehicle and plant fleet including replacing and / or servicing existing tyres either planned or on the road.
"Fleet and Waste Services require a competent and suitably qualified provider to ensure the service is carried out in a satisfactory and timely manner across the full extent of the vehicle and plant fleet."
The papers add that the contract will be subject to a "competitive tendering exercise and be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender return."
The service is currently provided by McConechy's.
On completion of the procurement process, a further report will be submitted to the tendering committee with recommendations on the award of the contract(s).
