POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted at a railway station in Dumbarton.
The incident, which is said to have occured at Dalreoch station at around 8pm on Saturday, February 20, allegedly involved a man following the woman across the platform before she was sexually assaulted as she stood by the waiting shelter.
The man was described as Asian, around 5'6", between 30 and 35 years old and of average build.
He had a short, dark beard and was wearing a great woolly hat and a cream or beige winter jacket.
He was described as speaking with an Indian accent.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, in particular a woman who spoke with the victim at the time before then boarding a train to Helensburgh.
