SCOTRAIL is urging West Dunbartonshire customers to buy tickets in advance following the relaxation of rules on non-essential travel.
The request was issued in a bid to help on-board conductors, who returned on April 26, minimise waiting times and maintain physical distance.
Phil Campbell, the rail operator’s head of customer operations, said: “The health and well-being of our staff and passengers is our number one priority, and it’s important people have peace of mind when travelling, so we’ve made a huge effort to make sure the on-train environment is safe.
“Having staff moving about our trains will reduce incidents of anti social behaviour, assist in keeping services clean and tidy during journeys, and allow us to maximise revenue.”
Tickets are available from the ScotRail app and website, as well as in-station machines
