A DUMBARTON woman is raising money for charity by undertaking a running challenge in memory of her late gran.
Stephanie Hegarty will be running 76 miles throughout June to honour what would be her grandmother Alice Hegarty’s 76th birthday.
She hopes to raise at least £500 for the West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare, of which Alice was a long-serving volunteer until her sudden death in December.
Stephanie said: “Our family are sure she would love the idea of supporting a place that gave her so much purpose and joy.
“We were so blessed to have had this incredible wee woman in our lives and she leaves a legacy that will always be remembered with love and laughter.
“This is our way to help continue that legacy.”
Her fund-raiser is available by searching for “76 Miles in memory of Alice Hegarty” on JustGiving.com.
