RECKLESS yobs left lethal spikes on a residential road in Dumbarton - putting people, animals and vehicles at risk.
Police found caltrops on Dixon Drive near the junction with Helenslee Road on May 29.
Anyone with information about those responsible is being asked contact police on 101.
Dumbarton councillor Iain McLaren said: “Reckless acts such as this put people and animals in danger, and waste public money.”
MSP Jackie Baillie added: “This crime could have had very severe consequences causing car accidents or injuring people and animals.
"It is all the more shocking as it was in a quiet residential area of Dumbarton.
"It would clearly help if local people could report anything suspicious to the police.”
