GARDENING equipment and tools worth more than £1,500 were stolen from a vehicle in Bowling last week.

Entry was forced into the pick-up cab vehicle which was parked on Dumbarton Road in the village between 10pm on June 15 and 7.30am the following day.

Police are investigating the incident and any witnesses with information are asked to contact 101.

But officers have reminded residents again not to leave tools in vehicles overnight.

There has been a recent reported spate of related incidents, said community police.
