Drivers in Dumbarton are being warned they're likely to be hit in the pocket if they park on double yellow lines in the centre of the town.
The Police Scotland warning comes after work began on the stretch of Glasgow Road in the town between Church Street and High Street.
That work is due to continue until Saturday, July 31, and means traffic is being diverted through Dumbarton town centre, including Church Street, Riverside Lane and High Street.
In an alert posted on Facebook, police said: "Due to ongoing roadworks on the A814, near to Dumbarton Town Centre, drivers are reminded to use appropriate parking spaces & avoid restricted areas.
"Parking illegally can cause congestion & make you liable to a fine or having your car removed."

The fine for parking on double yellow lines is usually £70, but it can vary depending on where you are in the country.
