PLANS have been lodged with West Dunbartonshire Council to set up a funfair in Alexandria later this month – almost a year after similar proposals were rejected by council bosses.
Applicant Cameron Codona is seeking a temporary public entertainment licence for the event in Bank Street from 5-9pm on August 20, 23, 26 and 27, and from 12 noon to 9pm on the weekends of August 21/22 and 28/29.
An event on the same site last September was in the process of being set up when council officials rejected an application for a licence.
Representations or objections must be submitted to licensing@west-dunbarton.gov.uk or in writing to the Clerk of the Licensing Committee at the council’s offices at 16 Church Street, Dumbarton G82 1QL by August 17.
The application is due to be considered by WDC’s licensing committee on August 18.
