STAFF at a Dumbarton supermaket could face redundancy as the store's online home delivery service is closed.
Morrisons says home delivery staff working at its Glasgow Road supermarket will either be redeployed or will be able to apply for voluntary redundancy as the service is wound down.
The company says that as part of its consultation process, "we will be offering all hourly paid colleagues within affected stores the opportunity to also apply for voluntary redundancy".
The online home delivery service will cease to operate completely at the Dumbarton store from October.
The service grew rapidly during the pandemic to help those unable to shop instore.
A spokesperson said that the company "must now adapt and make some changes to the size of our online operation to meet our customer demands".
They added: "We will continue to maintain the same service levels, including the number of customers and postcodes we deliver to, through our existing home delivery stores as well as our fulfillment centres."
