TWO men tried to steal a dog in Alexandria yesterday, report police.
A woman was walking on the footpath adjacent to Main Street, Jamestown, near to the entrance at Oakburn Walk, at around 9.05pm on Wednesday, December 22 when two men approached her, pushed her to the ground and tried to grab the dog’s lead.
The two men are both described as white, wearing all black clothing, and had snoods over their faces.
Detective Constable Thomas O’Donnell from Clydebank Police Station said: "This has been a frightening incident for the woman involved who was thankfully not hurt.
"We are keen to speak to anyone else who was in the area at the time or has dashcam footage or CCTV from the time to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 3400 of December 22 2021."
