WE’VE compiled a list of festive hours for services in Dumbarton and the Vale to help you over the winter period.
Recycling centres will close at 4pm on December 24 and December 31. They will be closed December 25 and January 1 – other than these dates normal operating hours will apply.
All communal recycling points remain open for recycling glass bottles and other recyclable material during the festive period.
Household collections will continue as normal.
Pharmacies located within health centres will be closed on December 25 to December 28 and again on January 1 to 4, with other pharmacies also closed on these days.
Boots on 73 High Street, Dumbarton, will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and December 27. It will re-open on December 28 from 11am until 4pm. It will be closed on January 1, 2, and 3, and will re-open on January 4 from 11am until 4pm.
Marchbanks Pharmacy on 172 Main Street, Renton, will open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and December 27 from 12pm until 5.30pm. It will be closed on December 28. It will then be open on January 1, 2 and 3 from 12pm until 5.30pm.
Brucehill Pharmacy, on 32a Brucehill Road, will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and December 27. It will re-open on December 28 from 9am to 1pm. It will be closed on January 1, 2 and 3 and will re-open on January 4 from 9am until 1pm.
Clarkes Chemist, on 7c Merkins Avenue, Bellsmyre, will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and December 27. It will open on December 28 from 9am until 1pm. The pharmacy will be closed on January 1, 2 and 3, and will re-open on January 4 from 9am until 1pm.
Balloch and Dumbarton libraries will open from 9:30am until 5pm on December 29 and December 30. On December 31, the two libraries will open at 9.30am and close at the earlier time of 4pm.
All libraries will re-open on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, when normal opening hours resume.
