A MAN has been seriously assaulted by a group of teenagers in Alexandria.
The 25-year-old was attacked by the group at around 12.30am this morning (July 8) near Bonhill Bridge at Angus Street of the town.
He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The severity of his injuries are unknown.
Police are now appealing for information regarding in incident and are keen to speak to the owner of a yellow car parked in the vicinity.
Detective Constable Lee Cassidy of Clydebank Police Office said : “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault.
“Our enquiries so far have revealed that a yellow car was seen parked in the vicinity and the driver may have witnessed the assault. We would be keen for him or her to come forward.
"Anyone who has any information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0100 of Friday, July 8."
