People in Dumbarton and the Vale can be taken back in time to watch archive videos thanks to the BBC.
To mark its centenary the BBC has released a vast selection of archive films dating back to 1955 from cities, towns and villages across the UK - including Dumbarton and the Vale.
A search for Dumbarton brings up 17 local films, meanwhile searches of Alexandria gives you two videos, one of which was the opening of the Vale of Leven District Hospital in December 1955.
Dumbarton's FC new stand (below), Jackie Stewart winning his first Formula One World Champion, a preview of the new design of the council offices are all covered - but there are also many unique documentaries about blacksmiths or The D1 hovercraft prototype.
Although many of the clips are relevant to the area, searching your local area also brings up old films from surrounding areas too.
