Apprentices proving themselves 'indispensable' to companies across the area are to be honoured as part of a new awards scheme.
Pam Gosal, a Scottish Conservatives West Scotland MSP, has launched a new awards competition to recognise the best local apprentices.
On Monday, January 30, Ms Gosal - who is also the shadow minister for higher and further education - announced she will hold 2023 Apprenticeship Awards to celebrate the trainee employees who really stood out in the past 12 months.
She said: " I regularly hear from businesses in my parliamentary region about the brilliant apprentices they employ.
“The west of Scotland region is full of worthwhile apprenticeship placements at a whole range of excellent businesses across many different sectors.
“The apprentices who take those places can often become indispensable, eventually joining the organisations they start with as a full members of staff.
“So, this year, I am seeking to highlight just a few of the fantastic apprentices in the west of Scotland.
“The competition is now open for any member of the public to nominate someone they think should win.
“Please get involved so we can recognise the best apprentices in the west of Scotland.”
Nominations are now open for any member of the public to nominate an apprentice who deserves to be recognised.
Anyone can nominate an apprentice online.
