A yellow weather warning has been issued for Dumarton and the Vale, with overnight snow and ice forecast by the Met Office.
The warning will be in place from 5pm this evening until 11am on Tuesday.
The Met Office says rain will turn to snow in the area, with disruption to transport and infrastructure possible. Icy surfaces are also expectated later.
Some roads and railways may be affected, with longer journey times likely. Icy pavements and paths could also cause slips and falls.
Residents are advised to plan their route and check for delays and road closures before setting off.
The warning is in place across much of the UK, with cold conditions expected to hit areas throughout Scotland, part of Northern Ireland, and most of England overnight.
