AN author is set to launch his debut book at a signing evening in Alexandria in May.
New writer Paul Underwood will be releasing his first young adult magical fiction fantasy story, 'A Storm Incoming', on May 2.
He will be launching his book at the Bus Stop Coffee Shop from 5.30pm. Refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome to join.
Paul completed a creative writing course with Welsh author Lynda Nash - where his main character for 'A Storm Incoming' was born - and The Writers Bureau Online.
He has also been helped by the First Book Coaching team and attended the Write That Book Masterclass with Sunday Times bestselling author, Michael Heppell.
Speaking about the book he said: "The fantastic climax to the book is the huge magical battle that takes place at Loch Lomond. But I'll not add more than that as i wouldn't want to have spoilers before reading it."
The synopsis reads: "When Charlie comes across a book of prophecy in his headmaster's office, he unwittingly embarks upon a rollercoaster ride between worlds.
"He discovers a fascinating realm of monsters and fairies, whilst learning the magic of the Elementals. Ruling this domain is a most evil entity, Sinistre, who is intent on using an army of chaos to destroy mankind and make the human world his own.
"Armed with new-found special abilities, Charlie realises that only he has the power to stop Sinistre by closing the portal between the two worlds."
Pre-orders are now open through his website and include two free gifts for each order.
