Join us as we take a trip down memory lane to reminisce about what happened in Dumbarton and the Vale 10 years ago.
We have delved into the Reporter's archives to pick out some of the best stories from a decade ago.
Here are some photographs from our edition which was published on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
Do you remember these events or recognise these faces?
1. Mum-of-two from Renton is top of the chops
Sheree Queen proved she was a cut above the rest after taking the chop for charity. The 33-year-old had grown her long hair for two years before she decided on donating it to the Little Princess Trust.
2. Community mark Maid of the Loch's 60th birthday
People flocked to the shores of Balloch to help a historic ship celebrate her 60th anniversary. As part of the celebrations, a Maid of the Loch commemorative ale was launched by Loch Lomond Brewery.
3. Women in Bellsmyre enjoyed an evening of dance and music
Ladies enjoyed music and entertainment at a special night in Bellsmyre. This was the second Ladies' Night organised by the Bellsmyre Development Trust for women to meet up, enjoy music and dance, as well as take along their own bottle.
4. Pupils enjoyed plenty of games as part of initiative
Sporting greats were in the making at St Michael’s Primary as children took part in a multi-sports day as part of an Active Schools initiative. The primary three children took part in a variety of games including rounders.
5. Finishing touches put on play park in the Vale
Children in the Vale of Leven had a new and exciting space to play and explore. The project — the work of West Dunbartonshire Environment Trust — transformed the Moss O’Balloch with a series of giant eagle nests and aerial tunnels for climbing and exploring.
6. Planting started on the grounds of Overtoun House
Residents from the community, young and old alike, came along to pitch in and try and make Dumbarton’s future a greener one.
