Ewan McAlpine, 23, is alleged to have committed the crime in Glasgow's George Square on May 15 2021.
Thousands of jubilant Gers fans gathered there that day to celebrate the club winning the Scottish Premiership.

McAlpine pleaded not guilty to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
McAlpine had a trial set for September by Sheriff Tom Hughes.
