THREE teenagers were rushed to hospital and a man was arrested after an alleged fight broke out in Balloch last night.
Emergency services responded to the scene at Balloch train station following reports of youths fighting shortly after 9pm.
Paramedics attended and two boys and a girl, all aged 16, were taken to hospital for treatment.
It is understood none of their injuries are considered life-threatening or life-changing.
British Transport Police [BTP] confirmed a 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
Investigations into the alleged incident are ongoing.
Officers said there will be increased patrols at the station and onboard trains in the area.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Balloch Central railway station at 9.04pm on June 9 following reports of youths fighting.
"Paramedics also attended, and two boys and a girl, all aged 16, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
"None of their injuries are considered life-threatening or life-changing.
“A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and officers’ enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“Passengers can expect to see an increased police presence at the station and on-board trains in the area and witnesses to the incident, or anyone with information, are urged to speak to officers or to text 61016 quoting reference 695 of June 9.”
