Another week and another trip into the past as we delve into the Dumbarton and the Vale archives and take a look at what was going on.
This week, we explored the paper from Tuesday, July 2, 2013, and a lot was going on.
Do you recognise any of these familiar faces?
1. The Loch Lomond Highland Games attracted more than 10,000 people and saw a whole range of traditional highland games competitions including the hammer throw and tossing the caber.
2. After more than four decades in the kitchen teaching students how to cook at college, Vale man David Wallace hung up his apron. He took his first batch of students in 1972 and the popular 63-year-old Clydebank College Professional Cookery lecturer had seen some vast changes in the way his students prepared their culinary delights.
3. Husband and wife team Barry and Jill McIlloney were picked as joint winners of a local photography competition for their striking images of Loch Lomond and Balloch Castle.

5. St Peter's Church in Bellsmyre held its annual summer fete and it proved to be a big success. A bouncy castle, face painting, stalls and all the traditional staples were taken care of with adults and children alike sharing in the smiles and the fun.
6. The family of a woman who died of cancer managed to raise over £2,000 for the Joan Macgregor Matrimonial Fund with a sponsored walk.
