A POPULAR Dumbarton pub has closed its doors for the last time.
The Stags Head, located on Glasgow Road, served its final customers on July 6 after over 50 years in the town.
It is understood the closure comes after the pub's lease ran out earlier this month and a decision was made not to extend it.
Owners Mitchells & Butlers thanked staff and local residents for “everything that made the Stags Head” over the years.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the Stags Head has closed as it has come to the end of our lease agreement, and we sadly made the decision not to extend it.
“We’d like to thank the Team and the Guests for everything that made the Stags Head the pub that it was over the years”.
