1. Pupils return to school early to harvest first crop
Green-fingered primary pupils took some time out from their summer break to return to school for a gardening project.
And the youngsters at St Micheal’s Primary School were only too happy to cut short their holidays to harvest the first crop from their eco-garden.
The pupils had been participating in the eco-schools project and saw the reward of their hard work.
2. BAFTA-winning actor brings drama to Dumbarton
LUCKY kids got a one-off drama class from an award-winning professional actor.
Iain Robertson, a BAFTA-winning Scottish actor, gave a workshop at West Bridgend Community Centre.
He helped out with the kids at the Loch Lomond branch of the UK Theatre School.
3. Youngsters take part in multi-sports day
Youngsters made the most of the summer holidays when they took part in a multi-sports day.
The event was held at the Meadow Centre which put on a host of different events over a couple of days to keep children entertained.
It was part of West Dunbartonshire Council’s summer holiday programme.
4. Nursery tots celebrate graduation
Nursery kids at Jamestown Nursery held the official opening of their new playpark and a party to celebrate starting primary school.
More than 60 tots and staff got together to celebrate their graduation to primary school, by taking part in a treasure hunt and part games.
5. Luss Highland Games gets underway
A host of competitors both regional, national, and international descended on Luss for its annual Highland Games competition.
They were joined at the village’s games field by hundreds of families and residents who came out to enjoy the festivities.
6. Music stars play to thousands in the rain at Loch Lomond
Despite the weather, thousands of revellers turned up to Live at Loch Lomond with bright umbrellas and colourful wellies.
The bands and DJs on show at the Balloch Country Park event included Roisin Murphy, Groove Armada, and Pete Doherty.
The Libertines singer had an eventful evening at the festival where he headlined the Good Vibrations stage.
