A DOG who spent the last three years of his life in a Dumbarton shelter has finally found his forever home.
Brodie arrived at the Scottish SPCA's centre in the town back in October 2019.
Shortly after his arrival, it was discovered that his previous owners had sadly been using him for badger baiting which had left his face scarred.
Staff at the animal welfare charity said that despite his difficult past he was a lovely-natured dog who had lots of potential.
Sadly, Brodie had little interest over the last few years.
But, just as staff were beginning to lose hope a woman named Shannon popped into the centre to help her friend take home a cat that she was adopting.
During the visit, Shannon mentioned she was looking to rehome a dog and after being introduced to Brodie it was love at first sight.
A few days later, Shannon and her partner Lewis came and picked him up and took him home to start his new life.
