Excited pupils and teachers enjoyed their first day at the new £15.5million Dumbarton Academy as the new state-of-the-art school opened its doors.
2. Workers plant flowers at Balloch children's hospice
A team of green-fingered ScotRail staff helped to create a colourful rose garden at Balloch’s children’s hospice.
The 10-strong group spent a full day transforming an area of land at Robin House into a garden featuring more than 50 roses and 10 clematis.
3. Two popular TV stars pay a visit to Maid of the Loch
Two much-loved faces in the world of TV made a special appearance at the Maid of the Loch. Fawlty Towers star Prunella Scales and her husband Timothy West CBE were avid supporters of the ship.
4. ‘It’s given me my confidence back'
Cancer survivor Helen Alexander has been given her confidence and independence back, thanks to a new mobility service.
5. Sun sets on summer school spectacular!
Young pupils at Vale of Leven Academy bade a fond farewell to their summer school experience with a display and show for parents.
6. Vale band ready to rock Killin Festival
Vale band The Icelandic Revolution hoped to pick up where they left off when they take to the stage at the second Killin Rocks festival.
