A LOCAL gardening club is in full bloom thanks to a generous donation.
The club, based at Braehead Primary School, recently received a cheque for £50 from the Rotary Club of Dumbarton to help with its running costs.
Pupils of all ages at the school are being encouraged to take part in the club's activities in a specially laid out section of the school grounds.
Children work together to plant, prune, weed, and make compost.
They are taught about different plants, trees, and vegetables and how they can contribute to nature and the environment.
The youngsters have made big steps and their garden wowed over the summer.
Jim Moore, of the town's Rotary Club, said: "The Rotary Club was delighted to make this donation to assist with the expenditure running of the gardening club at Braehead Primary School."
