THREE bins were set on fire in Levengrove Park just hours after a "brilliant" Police Scotland open day.
Three youths entered the park at around 10.30pm on Saturday, September 9 and set alight the trio of large bins close to the Pavillion Cafe.
This cost over £2,000 in damage as Scottish Fire and Rescue crews raced to the scene to attend to the fires, taking them away from potential emergency calls.
A Police Scotland statement read: "We are investigating this incident and reviewing CCTV to identify those responsible.
"If you have any information, please contact us quoting incident 5127 of September 9."
Earlier in the day, officers from the area's police team had been meeting and greeting locals at a Blue Light Event, aimed at building stronger community ties with those living nearby.
