A "playful and happy" ferret named Scoot is looking for the ideal Christmas present this year by finding his forever home.
The Scottish SPCA is calling on people to consider taking Scoot in due to him being with their Dunbartonshire and West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre for a massive 504 days.
Described as a "wonderful and energetic boy", assistant centre manager Ally McEwan explained now is the right time for him to find a permanent residence where he can have all the attention that he wants and deserves.
Ally said: "Scoot is a very happy ferret who is ready to find a home to call his own.
“He is inquisitive and playful and loves to jump around playing and chasing things.
“Scoot loves playing with his toys and running in and out of his tunnels.
"He also enjoys cavorting in the play pit and, at the end of the night, he loves nothing more than snuggling in his bed.
“He was not very well-handled when he came to us but is coming on leaps and bounds. He is looking for an owner who can continue this training.
“He might also be able to join a group of ferrets after a successful introduction and as long as his new owner has the knowledge to introduce them properly.”
If you can help make Scoot's festive wish come true, please apply via the Scottish SPCA website here.
