A charity event was recently held for a facility in West Dunbartonshire that supports families who are coping with a child's early death.
Provost Douglas McAllister attended the event at Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) Robin House on January 26, where he handed over the proceeds from a charity raffle that took place at the provost's Civic Awards evening.
Provost McAllister said: "It was my great pleasure to present the cheque to Robin House.
"I then had the privilege of a tour with Morven to witness at first hand the quite incredible care provided by Robin House and CHAS."
"They offer highly personalised care in the hospice, hospital, and home with such love and compassion.
"They make it possible for children and families to have treasured moments of joy together.
"Robin House and CHAS are there for them when needed most, in really tough days, at the end of life and after a child dies.
"CHAS has provided this support for almost 30 years and, of course, they rely on the generosity of donations and volunteers.
"I hope to continue to work with CHAS and Robin House in the future and I wish to thank Morven and all her colleagues for making me feel so welcome."
