A flag-raising ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day was recently held in West Dunbartonshire.
Provost Douglas McAllister led the ceremony on January 27 which took place at Solidarity Plaza, Clydebank.
Provost McAllister said: "Today, we remember those who lost their lives because of hatred and intolerance and we are reminded that we as human beings should do all we can to ensure these acts of violence do not continue to happen to innocent people."
The Holocaust Memorial Day is part of a global event in memory of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and countless others murdered through Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides.
Timothy Lovat, president of the Glasgow Jewish Representative Council, along with deputy Lord Lieutenants Gill Aitkenhead, Mauren Cummings and Owen Sayers, Jackie Baillie MSP and West Dunbartonshire Council members, attended the ceremony.
