A LOCAL café has been crowned the ‘best coffee shop’ in Scotland.
We previously reported that Paton’s Place in Bowling had been named as a finalist in this year’s Scottish Café & Bakery Awards.
The Bowling Harbour business came out on top over the weekend as they were announced as the winners of the ‘Best Coffee Shop’ in Scotland category.
Staff beamed as they were presented with the award at a glitzy ceremony which took place on Sunday at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.
A statement posted to the cafés Facebook page reads: “Where to start, we won. Just want to say a huge thank you to Nicola and our amazing team at Paton’s Place, you’re quite simply fabulous.
“I couldn’t be more proud of all of you. Also, a huge thank you to all of our amazing customers, because without all of you, this wouldn’t be possible.”
Customers shared their excitement at the news in the comments.
One person said: "Amazing, congratulations to you all. Very well deserved."
Another added: "Congratulations, love Paton's Place. Great food and wonderfully friendly staff."
A third commented: "Great news. There is always a lovely feeling in your restaurant, great staff."
