Cops are hunting for a trio of thugs after a man was shockingly attacked and robbed on a busy street.
The incident took place on Miller Road near to Haldane Court in Alexandria on Saturday, March 16, shortly after 1am.
During the horror ordeal, the man was approached and assaulted by two men and a woman.
Following that, the trio nicked his bag.
The 53-year-old was then rushed to hospital for treatment.
Now, cops have launched a search for the three culprits.
One of the men is described as being white, between 30 and 40 years old, around 5ft 7inch tall, and of large build with short light-coloured hair.
The other man is said to be white, between 25 and 30 years old, around 5ft 7inch in height, and of slim build with short brown hair.
Meanwhile, the woman is described as white, aged between 50 and 60 years old and of medium build with shoulder-length brown hair.
She was wearing a grey hooded top with writing on the back.
Detective Constable Emma Chalk is appealing for information. She said: “As our enquiries continuing I would like to appeal to anyone who was in this area on Saturday morning who may have witnessed this attack, or who any information regarding the three responsible to contact us.
“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 0280 of March 16.
"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
