A DRIVER has been fined and several others warned over speeding in Alexandria.
On Saturday, officers from the town's community policing team responded to complaints of speeding in the area.
While on Mollanbowie Road, which has a 30-mile-per-hour (mph) speed limit, one driver was issued a fixed penalty notice.
It is understood that "numerous" others were warned and additional road traffic offences were detected.
A statement regarding these incidents was published on Police Scotland's Argyll & West Dunbartonshire Division's Facebook.
It reads: "Your Alexandria Community Policing team were out responding to local complaints of speeding in the area.
"Mollanbowie Road has a 30mph speed limit. One driver was issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice, numerous other drivers were warned, and additional road traffic offences were detected."
