A street has been locked down by 999 crews after a shocking fire.
Images show a car on Overburn Terrace in Dumbarton which has been burned out and destroyed by a blaze.
The vehicle is parked outside a row of garages and its windows have disintegrated, while ash and debris surround the car on the ground.
The area has been taped off as of Thursday morning and a police vehicle is blocking the entrance to the road.
Firefighters were called at around 4.15am and have since left after extinguishing the fire.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.15am on Thursday, March 28 to reports of a car on fire at Overburn Crescent, Dumbarton.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting one car.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
The cause of the fire has not been revealed, but we have contacted Police Scotland for comment.
