HOMES across Alexandria are without electricity this morning after a power cut.

SP Energy Networks confirmed it was aware of the issue affecting several properties in the G83 postcode.

It is understood engineers are on site however restoration is taking “longer than expected” due to the complexity of the repair.

Residents are advised that teams are working to get the power back on as quickly and safely as possible.

Repair work is expected to be completed at around 2pm.
