A DUMBARTON school teacher has been caught on video shouting at pupils to "get lost".
The incident took place recently at Vale of Leven Academy, allegedly because second-year pupils failed to complete homework on time.
As well as questioning the children's prospects, the teacher in question can also be heard asking a child's name before telling them to "get out of her face and disappear".
Vale of Leven Academy confirmed in an email that the West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) Education Department is investigating the incident.
The footage has been seen by the Dumbarton Reporter and was captured by a pupil in the room at the time.
"Class, if you cannot do your homework, what is going to happen is every single one of your folks at home will be getting a message from me today, a personal email signed by me expressing my horror that you are not handing in your homework," the teacher can be heard shouting.
"They can have a nice conversation tonight and tell you that you are a National 4 [level below being able to sit an exam].
"There is nothing wrong with National 4, it will get you a nice job but it won't get you to college and it will never get you into uni or an apprenticeship."
She dismissed some members of the class after demanding their names.
A pupil then says: "You don't need to scream in my face".
To which the teacher replies: "I am not screaming, I am just talking loudly.
"If you want to hear me scream then I will show you a demonstration?"
An anonymous parent said: "I just hope something is done because this is not the first time I have heard she has been like that towards pupils.
"It can have a real impact on their mental health and how they value themselves academically."
A WDC spokesperson added: "The council expects the highest standard from all its employees and we will not comment on individual cases."
