A YOUTH organisation is celebrating its achievements of the year in the company in an annual parade.
1st Vale of Leven Boys Brigade Company and Girls Association hosted their annual display inviting friends and family to celebrate their year's achievements.
More than 40 members and officers attended the evening which saw different sections of the organisation perform.
The Junior Section incorporated sign language into their maze marching and the Company Section performed their drill using kazoos as bugle calls.
Two presentations were made; the first showed the activities they carried out over the year and the second from the Anchor Boys looking at the work of the Boys Brigade since 1883.
Captain Mr Hugh Hutchison praised the 23-24 session particularly their introduction of girls to the company – a first for companies in West Dunbartonshire.
Highlights from the year include a trip to the Gravity Centre in Braehead for the Junior Section and weekend trips to Glencoe and the island of Cumbrae for the Company/Senior sections.
The Anchor Boys enjoyed a great programme of handling Cool Creatures, trying out a police vehicle and storing a time capsule in Bonhill Church.
Captain Hutchinson ended his report by thanking everyone who had supported the company over the year.
The Company now look forward to more trips to Cumbrae in May and Sundrum Castle holiday Park in June.
