A man who made offensive remarks about his ex to a family member has been barred from contacting her.
Paul McMonagle, of Campbell Street, Bonhill, previously admitted making the comments during a phone call on April 16, 2023.
He swore and uttered offensive remarks towards the ex.
The 55-year-old was on bail at the time and the crime was aggravated by being against a partner or ex.
At Dumbarton Sheriff Court on May 28, defence solicitor Scott Adair said his client had no desire to contact the woman in future.
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry ordered two years of social work supervision. He will also have to take part in the Caledonian Men's Programme to address his behaviour.
McMonagle must do 150 hours of unpaid work in the community within 12 months.
And a non-harassment order barring contact with his ex will be in force for five years.
This is a direct alternative to custody.
