A MAN has been charged with dangerous driving in Bonhill despite already being disqualified.
The 29-year-old was reportedly spotted driving a black Mitsubishi Evo in the opposite direction with no front number plate at around 1.15pm on Saturday, June 8.
Officers then observed the vehicle allegedly accelerate away and go through a red light at 80mph in a built-up area.
Cops required assistance from road policing colleagues and the pursuit was stood down after the driver was identified.
The man was subsequently arrested and charged with taking a vehicle without the owner's permission, driving while disqualified, failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
