A RENTON schoolboy is set to cut off his hair for a great cause.
Philip Leslie, 10, is hoping to raise £700 for The Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
And his mum Lina explained the importance of charity to Philip.
She said: "We have had family members who have had cancer and raising money for that cause is something he has always been passionate about.
"He is really excited and is looking forward to having short hair after two years of it being long.

"Originally he just wanted to grow it longer to try a different hairstyle and then eventually he wanted to turn it into something for charity about a year ago.
"The family are all so proud of him. He is a really kind boy and very empathetic.
"He is always helping people and is always raising money for charity.
"Philip is a member of the Fifth Dumbarton Scouts and is also currently working towards his Community Impact badge."
The fundraiser takes place on Tuesday, July 23 and you can donate to Philip's JustGiving page by clicking here.
