Residents in Balloch had their say on a range of issues to shape the future of their village.
Loretto Housing Association tenants in the West Dunbartonshire village discussed local issues such as green spaces, traffic, parking, areas for play, housing, and work opportunities at a 'neighbourhood approach' event at Jamestown's Lennox Hall last month.
The feedback gathered will shape the new three-year community plan by the association, which is part of Wheatley Group, and partners including West Dunbartonshire Council and Police Scotland.
Catherine McKenzie, 62, a tenant who loves living in Balloch, said: “I’d like to see more green areas being looked after and more social events being organised.”
Morag Duncan, 66, said: “It’s nice to be asked for our views.”
Laura Henderson, managing director of Loretto Housing, said it is important to involve customers in future planning for their area.
She said: “The feedback we received will be shared with our partners and will shape the plan going forward and make sure we improve services and boost the local area.”
Patricia Corr, 61, a former business owner, said: “I think this is amazing. I was never able to come to events like this because I was always working. Now I’m retired, I’m happy to participate. It’s good to hear other people’s views too.
“Hopefully other people will come on board to give their views. I love this area and there’s a good community spirit.”
