West Dunbartonshire residents are invited to have their say in two important surveys to improve the area.

The 'Tell Us About Your Place' survey encourages locals to provide feedback on their neighbourhood, such as what is working well, and what is important to them.

They can suggest improvements to homes, recreation, access to nature, transport and services.

Meanwhile, the 'Call for Evidence' survey is looking for input on specific places and topics to inform a new Local Development Plan, crucial for the evolution of West Dunbartonshire over the next 10 years.

While the surveys are open to everyone, those who live, work or visit West Dunbartonshire are especially encouraged to respond to the Tell Us About Your Place survey.

"The council is intent on delivering for the people who live, work and visit West Dunbartonshire therefore it is vital that people take the opportunity to engage in these important surveys."

Councillor Gurpreet Singh Johal, vice convener of planning, said: "We want to properly understand the priorities of our residents, community groups, businesses and those who visit West Dunbartonshire.

"That’s why we would like as many residents to take part in this consultation as possible."

The surveys will be open until September 30.
