A ROAD in Alexandria is now closed for up to 21 days.

Lansbury Street will be shut until at least Thursday, August 8 to allow for Scottish Gas to carry out emergency repairs.

West Dunbartonshire Council confirmed the closure on their website.

The disruption will be in place on Lansbury Street from its junction with [A811] Lomond Road and to include access junctions from Lomond Road and Burn Street, a distance of 25 metres or thereby.

Only emergency service vehicles, those permitted by signs and those engaged in authorised road works.

Access to all property and for pedestrian through traffic will be maintained.
