THREE people have been taken to hospital following a fire in a Dumbarton flat.
Emergency services were called to the property on Merkins Avenue in Bellsmyre yesterday afternoon at 2.30pm
Three fire engines were sent to the scene of the incident, which took place within a ground floor flat.
Crews extinguished the fire and worked to make the area safe
All three people were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel to be treated for slight smoke inhalation

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.30pm on Sunday, July 28, to reports of a dwelling fire in Dumbarton.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the town's Merkins Avenue, where firefighters were met by a fire within a ground floor flat.
"Crews extinguished the fire and worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.
"Three casualties suffering slight smoke inhalation were transferred to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel."
