A MAN is set to appear in court charged with fleeing the scene in Alexandria after allegedly crashing his vehicle while four times the drink drive limit.
At around 4.45pm on Saturday, August 3 a driver was forced to swerve to try and avoid colliding with a Honda Jazz vehicle reportedly being driven erratically in the opposite direction.
The driver was unable to completely avoid the Honda and both vehicles collided.

The driver of the Honda was observed by various witnesses to run off into nearby gardens.
Police attended and quickly located the described man in a garden.
He was arrested and reported to Dumbarton Sheriff Court after failing a roadside breath test.
At the police office, further samples of breath were taken and analysed which allegedly provided a reading in excess of four times the drink drive limit for alcohol.
